Betongefüllte Hohlprofil-Verbundstützen mit massivem Stahlkern (CFST-SC) und betongefüllte Doppel-Hohlprofil-Verbundstützen (CFDST) eignen sich als innovative und wettbewerbsfähige Lösungen für die anspruchsvollen Anforderungen moderner Hochhaus-, Geschoss- und Industriebauten. Durch den Einsatz höherfester Baustähle und von Hochleistungsbeton kann der Tragwiderstand dieser Verbundstützen in eingeschossiger Ausführung weiter gesteigert bzw. die Querschnitte zusätzlich verkleinert werden. Die Ergebnisse des AiF-/FOSTA-Forschungsvorhabens P1287 Hohlprofil-Verbundstützen für Geschossbauten - Innovation und Bemessung (IGF-Nr. 19677N) zeigen zudem, dass eine aus einem Versatz der Komponenten bzw. einer großen Vorkrümmung der Stahlkerne resultierende geometrische Imperfektion die Tragfähigkeit und das strukturelle Verhalten dieser Mehrkomponentenquerschnitte erheblich beeinflussen kann. Diesen Einflüssen sollte mit einer angemessenen Qualitätskontrolle und der Einhaltung erforderlicher Toleranzen in der Produktion, Fertigung und Montage wirkungsvoll begegnet werden. Die Ergebnisse des aktuellen AiF-/FOSTA-Forschungsvorhabens P1628 Innovative Hohlprofil-Verbundstützen unter seismischen Beanspruchungen (IGF-Nr. 22348N) belegen, dass die betongefüllten Hohlprofil-Verbundstützen auch unter Verwendung von Hochleistungswerkstoffen eine hohe Verformungskapazität sowie ein gutes Energiedissipationsvermögen aufweisen und ihr Anwendungsbereich somit auf Regionen seismischer Aktivität ausgedehnt werden kann.

Concrete-filled steel tube columns in high-rise buildings - innovation and design
Concrete-filled steel tube columns with solid steel core (CFST-SC) and concrete-filled double steel tube columns (CFDST) are suitable as innovative and competitive solutions for the demanding requirements of modern high-rise, multi-story and industrial buildings. By using high-strength steels and high-performance concrete, the load-carrying resistance of single-story composite columns can be further increased, or the cross-section sizes additionally reduced. The results of the AiF/FOSTA research project P1287 Composite columns for multi-story buildings - Innovation and design (IGF No. 19677N) also show that geometric imperfections resulting from an offset of the components or large initial curvature of the steel cores can significantly influence the load-carrying capacity and structural behavior of multi-component cross-section columns. These effects should be effectively countered with appropriate quality control and adherence to required tolerances in production, fabrication and assembly. The results of the current AiF/FOSTA research project P1628 Innovative composite columns under seismic loading (IGF-No. 22348N) prove that concrete-filled steel tube composite columns have a high deformation capacity as well as a good energy dissipation, even when using high-performance materials, and that their range of application can thus be extended to regions of seismic activity.
