In recent years the fixing of windows in masonry, in particular in hollow or perforated masonry with thin webs and/or insulation filling, has become a demanding task for which a prior structural design is recommended. For the design of a modern window fixing, a test-based calculation model was developed on the basis of which an approval was granted.
