Aerogel containing concrete disclaims a densely textured material which offers a significantly improved heat insulation property compared to air insulated lightweight concrete. A systematic manipulation of the concrete components in a higher packing density also positively influences the strength properties, so that the material has both excellent heat insulation properties and a sufficient bearing capacity. The article describes the development of materials and experimental material parameters.
