The Dalke Bridge in Gütersloh, awarded the European Steel Design 2025 Special Award for Structural Artistry, replace a dilapidated pedestrian bridge and now connects city and countryside in an accessible way. Its minimalist, weather‐resistant steel design integrates all structural and aesthetic elements efficiently, creating a durable and elegant landmark. The jury recognized the project for its refined structural solutions—including the slender deck and CNC‐carved handrail plates—that push technical limits while achieving architectural elegance.
