Polygonal brick facade decorates building complex in the Swiss Riehen. Despite the meanwhile more than 21, 000 inhabitants, Riehen could preserve its former village character. A residential complex with three apartment buildings developed in the passage from the houses in the village centre lying close to each other to the loosely built living quarters at the village border. The new buildings with three full storeys and each with a circumferentially recessed attic floor host overall 29 condominiums with flexible floor plans. All apartments are designed age appropriately and barrier free. The polygonal building structures break the block-edge and stand in a park-like designed environment like clods.
