Nach verzögertem Baustart auf slowenischer Seite erfolgte am 18. März 2024 der Durchbruch der zweiten Röhre des Karawankentunnels. Bei den Vortriebsarbeiten der südlichen, slowenischen Röhre zeigte sich nach den ersten 2800 m Vortrieb eine geänderte Geologie. Daher mussten die Stützmittel den neuen Bedingungen entsprechend angepasst werden. Die Wahl fiel hierbei auf Omega‐Bolt Reibrohrexpansionsanker für den weiteren Einbau, um das druckhafte Gebirge zu kontrollieren. (Quelle: DSI Underground

After a delayed start on the Slovenian side the breakthrough of the second tube of the Karawanks Tunnel took place on March 18, 2024. During the excavation work on the southern, Slovenian tube, a change in the geology became apparent after the first 2800 m of excavation. Therefore, the support systems had to be adapted according to the new conditions. The construction company selected Omega‐Bolt expandable friction bolts for further installation to control squeezing rock conditions. (Source: DSI Underground)
