With the Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador, Lundin Gold Inc. of Canada is mining one of the highest-grade gold mines in the world currently in production. Immediately after the mine was developed, mining of the ore started in the fourth quarter of 2019. The development tunnels were excavated conventionally and passed through difficult geological conditions. DSI Underground supplied all support equipment such as lattice girders, rock bolts, resin cartridges and support mats to secure the driving of the access tunnels. Unmittelbar nach der Auffahrung des Bergwerks wurde im dritten Quartal 2019 mit dem Abbau des Erzes begonnen. Die Ausrichtungsstrecken wurden konventionell aufgefahren und führten durch schwierige geologische Verhältnisse.
