Recent developments show that special measures like pipe umbrellas are being used more often in continuous tunnelling, and already have to be planned during the design phase. The AT - Casing System, already in successful use for some decades in sequential tunnelling and in geotechnical engineering, has recently seen increasing use in TBM tunnelling. According to the type of pipe used, the system can be used to support the surrounding ground, for grouting measures or for drainage. An example calculation is intended to demonstrate the potential of advance support over a fault zone and point out some possible optimisations of the load-bearing capacity. Finally, the system is presented through the example of the New Kaiser Wilhelm Tunnel in Germany. On this project, the AT - Pipe Umbrella System was combined with the AT - GRP Injection System in order to gain the advantages of both.
Die letzten Entwicklungen zeigen, dass Sondermaßnahmen wie Rohrschirme im kontinuierlichen Vortrieb häufiger eingesetzt werden und bereits im Planungsstadium berücksichtigt werden. Das AT - Hüllrohrsystem wird bereits seit einigen Jahrzehnten im zyklischen Vortrieb und in der Geotechnik erfolgreich eingesetzt und in letzter Zeit auch vermehrt in Verbindung mit TVM. Je nach eingesetztem Rohrtyp kann es zum Stützen des Baugrunds, für Injektionsmaßnahmen oder für Dränagearbeiten eingesetzt werden. Ein Rechenbeispiel soll das Potenzial einer vorrauseilenden Stützung über eine Störungszone veranschaulichen und mögliche Optimierungen der Tragkraft aufzeigen. Zum Abschluss wird noch anhand des Projektbeispiels Neuer Kaiser Wilhelm Tunnel (Deutschland) eine exemplarische Anwendung dieses Systems erläutert. Bei diesem Projekt wurde das AT - Rohrschirmsystem mit dem AT - GFK-Injektionssystem kombiniert, um die jeweiligen Vorteile zu nutzen.
