Catenary-, Energy-, Communication- and Signalling Systems in the Koralm Tunnel

After finishing the 32.8 km long Koralm railway tunnel a bottleneck for the Alps-crossing railway traffic will be disposed. This paper deals with the technical installations in the tunnel. The technical components have to be simple and very safety for breakdowns. All components are redundant systems and a total breakdown of them is very improbable.
