Die Gänstorbrücke in Ulm - Untersuchung, Probebelastung und Brückenmonitoring

Bei der 1950 in Ulm über die Donau errichteten Gänstorbrücke handelt es sich um eine der ältesten Spannbetonbrücken in Deutschland. Bereits bei Untersuchungen in den 1980er Jahren zeigte sich, dass Spanngliedhüllrohre unvollständig verpresst wurden, der Spannstahl Korrosionserscheinungen aufweist und lokal Chlorideintragungen in den Beton stattgefunden haben. Im Jahr 2018 wurden bei umfangreichen Bauwerksuntersuchungen erhebliche standsicherheitsrelevante Korrosionsschäden an Spanngliedern vorgefunden. Da eine vollumfängliche Zustandsprüfung aufgrund der großen Anzahl an Spanngliedern nicht mit vertretbarem Aufwand möglich ist und nicht ausgeschlossen werden kann, dass sich der Bauwerkszustand bis zur Realisierung eines Ersatzneubaus weiter verschlechtert, wurde ein Monitoringsystem installiert. Zur Kalibrierung des Messsystems und zur Festlegung von Warn- und Alarmwerten wurde eine Probebelastung mit definierten Verkehrslasten durchgeführt. Die Vorgehensweise bei den Untersuchungen, die Konzeptionierung der Probebelastung und des Monitoringsystems sowie wesentliche Ergebnisse werden im Rahmen des vorliegenden Beitrags vorgestellt.

The Gänstor Bridge in Ulm - Inspection, structural reanalysis, load test and bridge monitoring
The Gänstor Bridge across the Danube in Ulm, built in 1950, is one of the oldest post-tensioned concrete bridges in Germany. Already in the 1980s profound inspections of the bridge have shown that tendon ducts are grouted incompletely, tendons show signs of corrosion and concrete is locally loaded with chlorides. During extensive inspections of the structure in 2018 significant and systematic corrosion damages on tendons have been detected reducing the structural safety of the bridge. Since a complete check of all tendons is not possible with reasonable effort and a deterioration of the structural condition cannot be excluded until the bridge is replaced, a bridge monitoring system was installed. For the calibration of the measurement systems and the definition of limits for warning or alarm a load test with defined traffic loads was performed. This article presents the procedure of the evaluations, the concept of the test loading and the monitoring system as well as essential findings.
