Doppelwand aus Ultrahochleistungsbeton - Planung und Bau von großformatigen Prototypen

Am Institut für Tragkonstruktionen der TU Wien wurde eine neue Konstruktionsmethode für Doppelwandelemente aus Ultrahochleistungsbetonen (UHPC) entwickelt. Durch die Verwendung dieser Betone, mit ihren in Bezug auf Dauerhaftigkeit und Festigkeit sehr guten Eigenschaften, ist es möglich, die Wanddicken der Doppelwandelemente auf bis zu 30 mm zu reduzieren. Damit einhergehend kommt es zu einer Reduktion der Transport- und Montagekosten bzw. auch des Platzbedarfs im Endzustand. Problematisch dabei sind vor allem die glatte Oberfläche an den Innenseiten der UHPC-Wandelemente, wodurch die Verbundfugentragfähigkeit wesentlich reduziert wird, sowie die geringe Verankerungstiefe der Verbindungsmittel. Die neu entwickelte Konstruktionsmethode bietet einen praktikablen Lösungsansatz für diese Problemstellungen, um eine funktionsfähige Doppelwand aus Ultrahochleistungsbeton herzustellen. Dazu wurden zahlreiche Voruntersuchungen durchgeführt sowie aufbauend darauf Prototypen geplant und hergestellt, um die Funktionsfähigkeit nachzuweisen. In diesem Beitrag wird der prinzipielle Lösungsansatz näher erläutert und im Anschluss daran auf die Planung und den Bau der Prototypen eingegangen. Am Ende werden offene Fragestellungen diskutiert und Zukunftsperspektiven gegeben.

Double-wall elements made of UHPC
A new approach for double-wall elements made of Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) was developed at the Institute of Structural Engineering of the TU Wien. By using high performance concrete, characterized by its high durability and high strength, it is possible to reduce the wall element thickness to 30 mm. Consequentially transportation and erection costs and the space requirement in the final state are reduced. However problems occur, regarding the smooth surface of the hardened high performance concrete, resulting from its fine particles and the fine grading curve, which decreases the bond bearing capacity between the precast concrete and the in-situ concrete. Another challenge is to guarantee an effective anchoring of the connectors into the thin precast wall elements. The new construction method provides a practicable solution to produce functional thin walled double-wall elements made of high performance concrete. Therefore preliminary investigations had been carried out. Based on the results prototypes had been planned and built to prove the concept. In this paper the new approach is described in detail, followed by a description of the planning and building of the prototypes. At the end of the paper some open questions are discussed and a brief outlook on possible application areas is given.
